Visiting & Respite Carer Service

Visiting & Respite Carer Service

Our Visiting Care Service provides you with the support you need, when you need it – allowing you to maintain a comfortable and independent life at home.

We offer flexible options; starting from three hours per week to multiple daily visits – and whether you need help with medication, personal hygiene, or meal preparation, our fully qualified Carers will see that all your needs and desires are fulfilled, making a positive impact on your day-to-day life.

We offer a variety of Visiting Carer services tailored to meet diverse needs, and will create a personalised and holistic care plan based on your specific requirements. What’s more; our Nurses are all local and both English and Maltese-speaking, ensuring seamless communication at all times.

Our use of smart mobile technology allows us to track and monitor home care visits, ensuring reliability and safety. Through a secure mobile app, Carers log in their start and finish times and provide handovers for case managers to follow up. If there is a delay due to traffic or weather conditions, we are alerted immediately and will therefore inform you and make alternative arrangements if necessary.

This service is further supported by our interdisciplinary team which includes nursing services for managing medications and wounds, phlebotomy, physiotherapy, psychotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language pathology, nutritionist services, as well as live-in carer services.

By having such a comprehensive approach, we will ensure that all your healthcare needs are met with seamless support in order to empower you to live comfortably and confidently at home.

Is there any financial government support available for this service?
Yes, our Visiting Care service is supported by the Government’s ‘Carer at Home Scheme’ through the AACC (Active ageing and Community Care) Department, on a Pro Rata basis up to a maximum of 40 hours per week.

Is the carer offered continuous training?
Yes - we truly believe in continuous professional development. Our dedicated team of health care professionals are continuously setting up training courses for all the carers in order to make sure that they are in line with the latest empirical research and practices.
Can I switch from a Visiting Carer to a Live-in Carer service?
Yes - once your allocated Live-in Carer is available to start, the regular Visiting Carer will provide them with a handover to ensure a smooth transition, together with the help and support of the Case Management Nurse in charge of your care.
