Our Podology service is designed to help you recover from foot or ankle injuries and manage ongoing foot-related conditions by improving your foot health, balance, and mobility. For older individuals or those with chronic conditions, proper foot care can also prevent minor issues from escalating into serious complications, helping you maintain your independence and quality of life.
This service is particularly beneficial for those who struggle to visit an outpatient clinic, which may include patients with:
- Foot or ankle surgery or injuries requiring post-operative rehabilitation
- Chronic foot and ankle pain or musculoskeletal complaints (such as plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, arthritis, etc…)
- Chronic health conditions affecting the feet (such as diabetes or poor circulation leading to foot ulcers or numbness)
- Age-related foot problems or difficulty performing personal foot care tasks (for example, trouble cutting toenails due to limited flexibility or vision)
- Reduced mobility, function, or balance (often due to foot or lower limb issues)
- Difficulties getting around the home or outside (such as climbing stairs or getting out of a bed, bath, etc…)
Our Community Podologists begin with an in-home assessment of your needs and current foot health – including the condition of your skin, nails, and joints – as well as your gait, balance, and overall mobility. They will discuss your goals and evaluate any environmental factors in order to minimize risks of falls and other accidents.
